April Community Service Hours
April Service Hours: 17 hrs Cumulative Semester Hours: 34 hrs At the beginning of April, I participated in a service initiative with my pharmacology class, where we worked together to assemble hygiene kits for a local homeless shelter. This experience highlighted the importance of addressing basic needs within underserved communities and reinforced how small, collective efforts can make a meaningful impact on individuals facing difficult circumstances. Later in the month, I had the opportunity to return home to Nebraska and volunteer at a local daycare center. During my time there, I engaged with children in both educational and creative settings, which further strengthened my passion for service and community involvement. One of my primary responsibilities was tutoring children in subjects such as reading, writing, and basic math.
